Dolphins
The waters of the Reykjanes peninsula in the south of Iceland are an important feeding ground for marine mammals like dolphins. There are 40 species of dolphin found all over the world in the shallow seas of continental shelves.
The obverse of this coin features the mythological four Guardian Spirits of Iceland.
