Greece 20-LEPTA (KM114) Horse
Horses were an important part of ancient Greek life. They were used in war, games, and everyday transportation. Horses appear throughout Greek art, in paintings and sculpture.
The image on this coin may be depicting the famous Parthenon Selene Horse, which is part of the Elgin Marbles collection temporarily residing in the British Museum since c.1805. Unfortunately, the British Museum doesn't see the collection as temporary.
This coin was issued in 1976 and 1978.
