The Royal Mint's 2016 series of circulating commemorative coins to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Beatrix Potter was so popular that they followed up in 2017 with an additional four circulating coins.
The 2017 series features three new characters, but starts off with a full-body depiction of Peter Rabbit. Having under-estimated how popular these coins would be, the Mint upped the ante this time around and minted 19.3 million of these Peter Rabbit coins.
