The state quarter program was launched in 1999, with five different quarters being issued each year for 10 years.
Kentucky features a horse (with her "old Kentucky home" in the background). There are at least 20 popular breeds of horses in Kentucky, one of which is the Tennessee Walking Horse. But I am going to presume that this quarter does not feature a Tennessee Walker.
