Greenland 5-KRONER (KM9) Polar Bear

Polar Bears live at the top of the food chain at the top of the world in five countries: Canada (over half of them), Greenland, Norway, Russia, and the United States (Alaska).

As a Danish colony (1921-1953) Greenland has only issued four different coins, all featuring the Polar Bear. This large brass coin was issued one year only, in 1944, and was the last of the Greenland Polar Bear coins.
