This circulating commemorative coin was issued in 2015 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the poem "In Flanders Fields" written by Canadian physician Lieutenet-Colonel John McRae during World War I. From the first verse:

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Thanks to Maria for pointing out the lark to me, which I had failed to notice for four years.
