Barb (Berber)
The Barb (aka Berber) horse was originally developed on the Barbary Coast of North Africa around the 8th century. It is a powerful desert horse with incredible stamina and a fiery temperament. There are several kinds of Barb, but the most purebred breeds are found in the desert in Algeria and a few other surrounding countries.
