Vatican City 20-LIRE (KM186) Eagle

Since the bird is holding a book, I am going to assume that it is the symbol of the evangelist John, who is represented by an eagle. Also, the letters "Io" appear on the book, which is for the Greek Ioannes, just like the name of the pope on the other side of the coin.
