Isle of Man 2-POUNDS (KM-new) Manx Shearwater
The Manx shearwater is a long-lived marine bird, with individuals known to live over 50 years. Their scientific name is Puffinus puffinus, which dates back to the 17th century. This is confusing, because they are not closely related to puffins (different Genus, Family, AND Order. Only when you get back to the class -- Aves, aka "birds" -- are they related.
In 2017, Isle of Man issued a new series of common circulating coins, most featuring animals.
