Ireland 5-PENCE (KM28) Bull

The bull design on the original shilling in the barnyard series was copied directly to the decimal 5-pence coin in 1969, then in 1992 the bull decided to head in the other direction (on a smaller coin).

Cows and the breeding of cattle was very important in Ireland's early agricultural economy.
