American Crocodile
The American Crocodile is the only crocodilian species in Jamaica. Normally, it is a shy animal and will avoid confrontations unless harassed.
You can see one of these shy fellows atop the Jamaican coat of arms.
This coin was first issued in 1969, and was issued through 1984 with modified obverses (KM53, 102).
