Tanzania 500-SHILINGI (KM-new) African Buffalo
The African buffalo (Syncerus caffer) is a large wild bovine living across the middle of the African continent. They are not related to modern bovines, and only distantly related to the Asian Water buffalo. Unlike their Asian counterpart, the African buffalo has never been domesticated because no one would dare try and if they did they'd quickly regret it.
Considered one of the most dangerous animals in Africa, these cantankerous beasts gore and kill over 200 people every year. Besides their large size and strength, a particularly dangerous feature is the way their horns fuse at the base to create a solid smashing machine, called "the boss." Indeed.
