

Sudan 10-GHIRSH (KM35.1) Camel
The rider on the camel is actually the postman, and he is delivering the mail between Khartoum and Berber. The "Camel postman", designed by Captain E.A. Stanton, appeared on Sudan's first stamps in 1898. It was used on coins from 1956 through 1971.
