Rhodesia 2½-SHILLINGS (KM4) Sable Antelope

The Sable antelope (Hippotragus niger) is a very large antelope weighing up to 235 kg. They live in light woodlands and are considered one of the most impressive antelope species of Africa.

The country was called Southern Rhodesia starting in 1901, Rhodesia in 1964, Zimbabwe Rhodesia in 1979, then the Republic of Zimbabwe in 1980.
