The Leopard is famous for its stealth capabilities, allowing it to live near humans undetected. This may explain why it is doing surprisingly well for a large predator faced with human expansion. The Leopard is a member of the Panthera -- or "roaring cats" -- genus. They can live in a wide variety of habitats: swampy jungles, forests, brush country, savannah, and in rugged mountains.
This coin was issued one-year only in 1967.
