Aldabra Giant Tortoise
The Aldabra giant tortoise mostly lives on the islands of the Aldabra Atoll in Seychelles, where they enjoy full protection, which is important since all giant tortoises were almost driven to extinction by the mid 19th century. They are very large, weighing up to 250 kg (550 lb).
