Giant Eland
A male Giant Eland can weigh up to 1,000 kg and their huge spiral horns can extend beyond 120 cm. They hang out in sparse forest during the heat of the day, and feed on the savannah during the morning and evening hours.
This coin is slightly modified from the original 1971 issue (KM6, different reverse). The 100-franc coin was minted from 1971 to 1998.
