Chile 10-CENTAVOS (KM205a) Andean Condor

In the mid 1970s, Chile issued another reform coinage that would last only until the end of the century. This time around, 1,000 Old Escudos were replaced with a single Peso.

We also see that the condor has come back to roost in its hulking pose.

This 12-sided coin was first issued in aluminum-bronze (KM205) in 1975 and 1976, then replaced with this aluminum version for 1976 to 1979.

  • Diameter: 23.7 mm
  • Composition: Aluminum
  • CAT#: KM205a
