Lebanon 5-PIASTRES (KM21) Lion

After achieving independence from France in 1943, new coins were issued. This beautiful golden lion head coin was minted in 1955 and 1961 only. There's something about this lion that looks almost cartoonish. Perhaps it's the blank eyes?

The reverse features a Lebanese cedar tree.
