Bolivia 10-CENTAVOS (KM188)

Llama

If you squint and look closely, you will see the Llama standing amid a nice Bolivian scene with the sun shining down. This well-designed scene -- which shows up on several denominations -- first appeared in 1893 and lasted right through to 1980.

The Llama is an important animal in the Andean countries. It is used as a beast of burden, and supplies milk, meat, hides, and wool.

This coin was minted between 1965 and 1973 and is part of the Peso Boliviano series (1963-1986).
