Russia 50-KOPEKS (Y603a) Horse (and dragon)
On January 1, 1998, Russia issued reform coinage, with 1,000 old rubles equal to one new ruble. The 1-, 5-, 10-, and 50-kopek coins feature St. George slaying the dragon, which in this depiction makes you feel bad for the little dragon.
The first coins were struck in 1997, and were supposedly brass (Y#603). In 2006, they switched to this brass-clad steel coin, which is definitely brass.
