Lithuania 20-CENTU (KM107) Horse

The image of Vytis -- the White Knight -- on horseback was first used in 1366 on the seal of the Grand Duke of Lithuania. From there it was handed down through centuries, making its way onto heraldic shields and state emblems.

Besides the horse's tail pointing up (1997 and after), you can see other differences in the horses hooves, and the positioning of the knight and his sword. Apparently, Vytis has arrived at the heat of the battle: His horse in rearing and he is in a fighting position.
