Bulgaria 10-LEVA (KM205) Horse

The obverses of the Bulgarian LEV coins depict the Madara Rider on his horse, killing a lion with a spear. This image is taken from a large carving 100 m up on a cliff face. Inscriptions with the sculpture chronicle events throughout the 8th century.

This coin was minted in 1992 only, and demonetized in 1999 when Bulgaria underwent another monetary reform.
