Green Turtle
The Atlantic Green Turtle is the biggest sea turtle. For many years, people have hunted them to make soup, among other things, making them an endangered species. Entire populations of Green Turtles have been wiped out in the Cayman Islands.
This coin exhibits what I like so much about copper-nickel: the possibility of beautiful golden toning.
